About Bristol Pre-Conservatoire and St Monica Trust
Bristol Pre-Conservatoire

Bristol Pre-Conservatoire was founded by Jonathan James in 2012. It brings together talented classical and jazz young musicians in a fun yet challenging environment to develop their ensemble skills and general musicianship. Students meet once a week and receive tutoring from some of the region's finest tutors as well as guest artists. Areas of study include ear training, improvisation, composition, rhythm work and ensemble playing. Students from the Pre-Conservatoire will be involved in performing the works composed. Although some composers are drawn from the Pre-Conservatoire, the invitation is open to all young composers (GCSE and above) to apply.
